The conference will be held at the
Sheraton in Rio de Janeiro. This is a premier location in Rio, secluded, yet just a few minutes from Copacabana, Ipanema, and many other sites of interest.
We encourage all participants to stay at the conference hotel, both for safety and convenience. In particular, note that morning transfer to the conference site from other hotels in Copacabana/Ipanema will take at least 45 minutes by taxi (as all streets become one-way streets in the morning, requiring a long detour).
The block of room we had reserved has already been filled. There may be some Pool Side View rooms at the $250/night rate (5% taxes and 10% service fees already included). These are on a first come-first serve basis. You can make reservations directly with the hotel, or you can use the from below and send it by e-mail or fax.
